Client Advisory Services for Owners
There are two kinds of organizations that build significant buildings - those that do it all the time, and those that do it infrequently. Our experience in combination with our client-focused orientation makes us valuable to both groups, and especially to newcomers to the building design and construction marketplace.
Our role is to provide guidance to project leaders. It can be baffling to decide which architect to select, what consultants are needed, what questions should be asked, and what approach to take to improve the prospects for success. These days, almost all major projects require highly complex teams that are assembled for the specific project. Putting the right team together and establishing a collaborative environment is absolutely essential, but how to accomplish such an environment is not obvious. We have been there. We can help.
Project Design Advice and Consulting
Several of our senior consultants have spent careers accumulating deep experience participating in the design of specific building types. John Wyle, emeritus AIA, is an expert in convention centers and performing arts centers. Fred Krenson, AIA, has spent a career involved in the programming and design of sports stadia and arenas. Vic Maloof has acted as design manager and program manager on major hospital projects, such as the $350 million expansion of Atlanta’s Grady Memorial Hospital. Howard Wertheimer has lead the design and planning process for dozens of buildings for higher education as owner. While we do not practice architecture, our experience and guidance can result in improved programming and design performance.
Project Evaluation and Audit
Unfortunately, sometimes projects get in trouble. An experienced advisor can view the situation from a fresh perspective, provide an objective analysis of the issue, and develop a recovery plan all while allowing the project team to stay focused on project execution. If you’re concerned a project may be headed down that path give us a call, we’ll get things back on track.
Dispute Mitigation
Once the lawyers get involved finding a path to a collaborative project solution and a true win often becomes precarious. We believe it is worth striving to avoid that point by finding a way to resolve disputes through negotiation and collaboration. Let our team leverage its experience to identify solutions without bias and with your project’s highest interests at heart.
